What part of the Bible tells you that you shouldn't cus? I mean I've been looking for it but i can't find it. Can someone give me the exact line/lines in which it says. Then maybe explain it to me so I will understand better? Thanks...
orphans answered Saturday October 27 2007, 8:10 am: I don't believe it's a sin, just frowned upon.
To elaborate a little more on what the other person said, how you dress shouldn't effect how people look at you, but it does. It says a lot about you, how much time you take to look nice, if you have money, the effort you put in, etc. Your language is the same, it doesn't mean that everyone who cusses has poor values, it's just that it's not very charismatic and people could very easily judge you wrongly. HiChick answered Saturday October 27 2007, 1:54 am: Trust me its totally there. I will put a few scriptures down for you:
Ephesians 5:4 Foul language is not fitting for a Christian
Colossians 4:6 Our speech should reflectour relationship with God
1 Timothy 4:12 Our speech should be an example to others
If you have more questions or need more help i would be happy to help! :D Our language should show people who we are and what we are about. Not swearing and being nice makes people wonder why we are so good and we can say because of the greatness of our Lord. Remember if u have ANY questions send me a message in my inbox!
