Goddess767 answered Friday October 19 2007, 3:25 pm: to much fruit will eventually make you gain weight becasue fruits have natural sugars that break down in to fats in your bodie if your wanting to lose weight or not gain it then watch what you eat and how much of it. its healthyer to eat 12 snacks a day instead of 3 meals. a snack could be like a yogart and some fruit or some veggies. meets are healthy to just not rare or to much of it. breads and rice are healthy just ot to much of it look at nutrition tables and look at the cllories and serving sizes if you go by that you can eat about anything [ Goddess767's advice column | Ask Goddess767 A Question ]

They're great, give you the nutrients/vitamins you need and help protect against diseas - as do vegetables.
Snack on salads, too.
They don't actually make you skinnier, but they're alot better than junk foods obviously and are easier to burn off.
Get your 5 a day and you're good to go.
Make sure you're eating the correct portions of dinners etc, too. Eating a good breakfast will keep you going for the morning, too. So if you don't eat a good breakfast, you should start to.
If you feel you're snacking too much, try chewing gum - it gives your brain the illusion you are eating.
Also, a very important fact is most people think they are hungry when they are infact just thirsty. So throughout the day, sip water. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

This is because they don't have much fat. Fat is extremely hard to burn off. I'm pretty sure fruits are mostly glucose, which is the simpliest form of energy and easy to burn off.
hotpotato answered Tuesday October 16 2007, 7:00 pm: As long as you keep anything/everything you're eating in moderation, your diet and weight should be fine. Fruits have natural sugars, not like the stuff of junk food. They don't even contain much calories. Don't worry, they don't make you fat - they make you healthier!
