For school i have to survey about 50 different people( doesnt matter if i know them or not) I have to find out if they disagree or agree with a school policy and why( tardies, absences, grafiti, lockers, ect.)
No hats- I completely disagree. What harm does a hat cause? It may be courteous to take hats off indoors, but not a rule.
Graffiti- I agree. Graffiti and vandilizing things is not acceptable. It is ugly and shameful. Note I do like murals with artistic talent, but regular spray-painting is just awful.
No hair dye- I agree. Hair dye is not natural, and schools should be a place where students learn what is acceptable and what is not. Unnatural hair and mohawks are not acceptable, AND a major eyesore. [ missbananafontana's advice column | Ask missbananafontana A Question ]

I disagree with this policy because tests can take longer than the time alotted, so it is unfair for a slower student to be given a tardy for their next class if they have to stay and finish. Also, a teacher may ask to see a student briefly after class, and if this causes them to be late, it certainly should not be their fault.
hollister_lover09 answered Tuesday October 9 2007, 9:25 pm: my school also start with the backpack rule. My school is 3 story highs and I have a class on the thrid floor, down to the first, back to the second and so on. It is very hard to be able to carry all my things class to class, and my teachers said we cant leave our things for that class in class bc they wont take the blame if it gets stolen.
Another rule my school has I dont agree with is holding hands. I mean, its holding hands. I agree that the people that make out in the hall are just rude and are immature, but the holding hands things is a little far.
My school has inforced the smoking things also. ILOVE it. The bathrooms dont smell bad anymore. The rule is if there is smoke coming from the door your behind in the bathroom, you get writen up, fined 500$ and get kicked out for 5 days. I think this is a wonderful rule. Its my favv!! =D [ hollister_lover09's advice column | Ask hollister_lover09 A Question ]
*Kate* answered Tuesday October 9 2007, 9:04 pm: This year at my school we are not allowed to have backpacks. They have to be in our lockers. They say it is a safety issue.
I don't agree because:
1. Most students have lockers that are very far away from their classes.
2. We have 5 minutes to get to classes, which may seem like enough time but there are over 2,000 students in the hallways at once
3.It is difficult to hold a lot of stuff all at once.
