Alto voice

Question Posted Sunday September 16 2007, 4:51 pm

I want to sing a song for my mom's wedding (in October), but I can't seem to find one. I'm an alto, so it's hard for me to find songs to sing since it seems like every female singer has a super high voice. I was thinking about singing my own version of "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias (their song), but I'm not sure. Does anyone know of any songs I could sing? A list would be awesome : )

Celine Dion has some pretty low songs and most of them are about love so pick your favorite.
also, shania twain but only if you can really pull it off. i recommend "forever & for always" or "still the one". <3

Anne Murray. She has some great songs that would be very appropriate for a wedding. Here is a discography of her music. If you click the album it will take you to songs on that album. Click the song title and it will take you to where you can click on lyrics. :)

Beatles songs are fantastic for alto voices.

If it seems like most songs are too high, then just sing down an octave, simple as that. xxx
