Hey,
Yea, if you've been on this pill for over three months, and it's not working, you should either get a higher dosage or try out a new pill.
You may just need more time to get adjusted to it, so maybe you'll need a lower dosage. I'd say to talk to your parents, and then to your doctor about it. You should report any symptoms.
You feel weak and tired because you don't have enough iron to support you, so your body's feeding on all it has left, leaving you tired. so this could be from either the pills or from the Anemia.
You should definitely eat alot of red meat. Make sure you have at least a little each day. Also eat alot of beans, and things high in iron and proteins. This should help ALOT!

Hope this helps, and hope you feel better!

Yes, try going on a different pill. Well, it really depends on how long you have been taking your current one. I have the same thing as you. I'm just too lazy to take the pill but yeah, I felt a lot more.. alive/awake when I was taking it. You should wait it out for a while..and if it doesn't change then go to your doctor.

Yes, you need to eat some red meat because it contains a lot of iron. If not, you need a different pill. Also try eating more vegetables, some iron comes from that source. Just eat healthy and have some red meat in your diet.

it is possible that the pill you are on is not strong enough for the type of anemia you have. you might consider asking your doctor for another prescripton or possibly if b twelve or other anemic shots would be best. or possibly reconsider your diet. and yes, meat is a very important factor in keeping your iron level up. it is a very good source of iron. also, drnk plenty of water. well, i will pray that your anemia gets straightened up. take care of your self, get plenty of sleep, and remember to keep smiling.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Iron was supossed to make you more awake and stronger during the day... because I dont have anemia or anything, but the doctor said I should take iron pills to make me more alert and less tired during the day. As for the food, eat a very healthy breakfast, it doesnt have to have meat, but make sure you get enough protein because if you dont have enough then that is what is causing your problem. If you dont wanna eat meat you can eat tofu, beans, fish, and anything that has protein.
