I need to loose around 60 pounds in a reasonable time. I'm going to eat right and exercise, but I would also like to take some safe, healthy and effective, diet pills.
So if any of you know good diet pills that are safe and healthy, also dieting and exercise plans too! I don't have any heart promblem. I will be going to the doctor and requesting diet pills but I would just like to know alittle about the best before hand.
Losing weight isn't about quick fixes, though I think most people wish it was! There's nothing wrong with wanting to be healthier, but if you want to be healthy you have to act healthy.
There are plenty of local face-to-face support groups for people who are trying to lose weight. I've personally lost 54.5 pounds in the last year, and it hasn't been too taxing or terrible. It's about eating less unhealthy stuff, and moving around more. For me, it was also about being really ready.
Your doctor will probably offer you great advice, but I think you can't beat the support of other people - whether this at a major company's smaller meeting, or in one-to-one counselling. Or even joining an online version - forums and emails can be very motivating as well.
ductape_n_roses answered Wednesday September 12 2007, 5:02 pm: I'm sorry to say this but there are no safe diet pills. They all screw up your metabolism. See, this is how it works:
Diet pills make your metabolism speed up, thus making you lose weight. Now, you body will soon detect that change and will make itself accustomed to the diet pills, thus the pills will no longer have much affect on your body and its metabolism. And when you get off the pills, you're going to gain most of the weight back, and I'm sure you don't want to be buying pills every month. The bottles say 60 pills, but usually, they have you take 2-3pills a day, so one bottle will last you 20-30 days only, and they are expensive.
The best way to lose weight is to develop a healthy lifestyle. Exercise and eating healthy are the keys to losing weight. In my forum (the link is in my column on the right column. It should be the top most link) I have topics on how to lose weight and develop a healthy lifestyle so you can keep that weight off.
You should read:

Toning Exercises
Stretching
Carbs, proteins, fats, wtf??? (Or something like that)
karenR answered Monday September 10 2007, 10:23 pm: Regardless of age there is no "safe diet pill".
We don't just tell you 14 year olds that. There is
NO SAFE DIET PILL for anyone of any age. If there
were there would be more skinny people in the world
and less fat ones. Diet and exercise is the ONLY
way to lose weight.
There is surgery you can get if you are old enough and fat enough. Even with it you will get fat again
without diet change and exercise.

Well I did answer with my opinion. :) I have tried
a lot of them when I was younger. None of them work. You may loose weight for a week or two, but as soon as your body gets used to them...the weight comes back and then some. You are much better off sticking to diet and exercise. Cut as much fat out of your diet as you can. Exercise at
LEAST 20-30 minutes per day. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
