i'm a 14 year old female. almost 15.
i'm 5'10 and 160 lbs and i play basketball year-round
is it better for me to drink water or gatorade during practices and games?
i want to lose 10 lbs so which one is better to drink?
i read that gatorade gives more energy and i'll have a little more endurance than the water. but which is one better?

But if you're doing shorter practices or are taking breaks often during practice or games, I'd drink plain water. Gatorade and sports drinks like it have so much sugar, which you don't really need unless you're exercising for a long time.
Of course it's not gonna hurt you to drink gatorade if you're doing shorter exercise spans, but water is always good for you and doesn't have all that sugar. [ denialsam's advice column | Ask denialsam A Question ]
