School Picture!

Question Posted Tuesday September 4 2007, 10:35 pm

My school picture day is next monday, and i was wondering if you had any tips.

Its my senior year, so my pictures going in the yearbook and its how im going to be remembered so i want to look good. Our rule is we have to wear either a blue or white collared shirt. We can wear any undershirt and do our hair however we want.

Which color would show up better? Blue or white?

What shirt should i wear under?

What looks better on film? Curly or straight hair?

About makeup, whats the best way to go? Eyeliner or not? Red lipstick maybe? Ihave no clue.

Any ideas would be appreciated so much!!

Thanks for reading!!

i think you should wear a blue shirt, with im not sure exactly what underneath. it won't show anyway.

and for the hairrrr, im thinkin straight hair will look better :)

and for makeup, eyeliner is a yes, and red lipstick is a definite no. keep it natural looking, the less makeup the better.

good luck :DD

color underneath... whatever color looks best on you. if you're blonde with blue eyes, you could go with a blue shirt and a white one under. if you have dark hair/eyes and tan, white with green under it.
best hair is also about whatever looks better. if your hair looks like crap curly, wear it straight. ask your mom or people that know you really well and see what they think is best.
eyeliner is usually a good thing in pictures.
red lipstick might be too bright... wear something more natural. cover up blemishes and put a little blush on... not a lot. try to keep your face shine-free. <3

1) Blue stands out better and is the best choice. Do not wear solid red or white. It tends to look a bit blurred or different than other colors in a photograph and especially on TV. Sometimes it looks even a bit distorted.

2) Wear what you would like underneath. It's not going to show up in the photo so it's not that big a decision.

3) Either curly or straight hair will look fine. I would recommend straight hair though. You want something that won't block the view of your face or be in your eyes or that would make people see your hair first and you second when looking at the photo.

4) With make-up you need to look natural and not all done up. Use what you usually do as that's how you look best. It's your choice basically as long as you don't stick out like a sore thumb you're okay.

That's my point of view. The other tip: Don't look at the camera lens. Focus on a spot straight ahead or where someone's hand would be at if they held it up. This makes you look natural and stops you from blinking at the flash resulting in a closed eye class picture.
