Lately I've been gotting really bad anxiety attacks and I don't know what's been causing them. I want to know what I need to do, either to make them stop, or ease down a little. I get really really shakey and I feel like I have to puke, and sometimes my legs even collapse. Is there a pill or soemthing I could take, or a perscription I need or something like that to make them go away?

I have anxiety but not as bad as you. I went to the doctor and got a low dosage of xanax. YOu take it when you feel an anxiety attack coming on. Ive never felt the need to take on , so they're there just in case for me. I also saw a counselor and i learned these breathing techiqnues. There hard to explain but theres one , where you just close your eyes and while breathing in you say "calm" and while breathing out you say "relax" . You do this however many times you think you need. HOpe it works. GOod luck :]

well...i havent personally ever been throug this but i know freinds who have!..soo ha they do is place thier mind on something else..but one of me mates went to counselling..were they helped..him..he went to groups were similar ppeople talked about their problems...and ways to overcome..its a social..place!..or you can see your doctor n get a pill..because they do have pills..but after a while they stop working anyway..soo you should just try n attend this group..but of course its up to you...jus giving you ideas..please let me know if my advice helped n even if it didnt..!..X

Listen I understand what your going thru...it happens to me too,as well as other things like that....the best thing you can do is try and take your mind off of things like you can....listen to your ipod or c.d player,you can go for walks to center your mind,you could chill out and just watch t.v, you can play your games on the computer...or you can play chess....chess is a thinking game that you would have to focus on when playing...and if all else feels you can just tell your mom how your feeling...but let that be a last resort because as we both know parents have a habbit of over reacting....so I wish you much luck and I really advice you to pray to the father and son and keep your faith in jesus alive and active and I guarantee you life will get better for you...I promise...godbless...goodluck and take care...your friend/advicer .......jamie

You are probably worried or nervous about something...so try to relax and not think about the things that make you nervous or worried and you should be better.

Talk to your parents/guardians about this, maybe they can do something to help :)

You are just a nervous reck that is why you have anxiety. You need to figure out what you are scared of and face it head on. You need to relax some and if it doesn't go away seek professional help.
