msn help!

hi i have windows live messenger
and i have two problems with it
1:this "block-checker" pops up EVERYTIME i open a window with someone
help how to get rid of it?
2:if i leave it running for more then 10 mins
it will literally freeze (won't let me talk to anyone, can't recieve messages)
it doesn't freeze other programs on my computer just itself
help please!

Uninstall MSN Live...and install it again
Then run a virus check

I would also suggest going to Control Panel > Add or remove Programs. Then look though the list and remove any msn related things that you might have downloaded. Such as Display picture stealer or font colour changer.

Ahh, the infamous pop up blocker.
Have you tried removing msn from your computer and downloading it again?
and run a virus scan if you haven't already, to make sure it hasn't affected your computer.
I haven't personally had one of these, but a friend has.. and after downloading it again and scanning etc, their MSN is fine.
