Question Posted Monday September 3 2007, 6:48 pm

I have used just about every product there is out there and it seems it does not help my acne out at all. Should I try proavtiv? Does it really work?

proactive is awful.
you really need to see a dermatologist and ask about Levulan Kerastick + Bluelight Illumination
its pretty expensive, but its worth it.
Levulan Kerastick is a medicine they put on your face, and i had to sit with it on my face for an hour and than sit under a Bluelight for 17 minutes. im on an 8 week process, and so far ive had wonderful results. basically during the 8 weeks you have to make a lot of trips to the dermatologists office for the medicine/sitting under the bluelight.

if you have any more questions PLEASE ask me
hope i helped!

Well it depends on your skin. Some people have a diffrent reaction to proactiv, for some it works well, and for some it may not. But for the most part, I can say that proactiv works really well. It clears your skin. The only negative thing about using proactiv is that it CAN dry your ski, which can possibly lead to more breakouts. If it is drying out your skin limit your uses to it, like once or twice a day, or just simply stop using it. You'll never know UNLESS you try, so I reccomend you try it, and see how you skin reacts to it, and if it works keep using it. Hope I helped, :)
