Vegetarianism is no healthier than a balanced diet including meats. You can get everthing you need nutrient wise either way.

Most people are vegetarian for reasons other than the health aspect. Its either personal preference or a moral question (people who hate the meat industry)

Welcome to the world of vegetarianism!
Technically and medically speaking, it can go either way.

If you choose to be a vegitarian the RIGHT way, then sure, it's healthy. Like mentioned below, you lower your risk of heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. You'd just have to eat right. You have to make sure your intake of vitamen D, protein, iron, and B 12 is high enough, as those are the vitamens most vegetarians do not get enough of.

However, if you don't take in enough of the vitamens I mentioned above (and possibly some others, those are just the ones I know of the top off my head) you can become sick. You might become anemic, or something along those lines. Basially, you risk developing a condition in which you don't get enough of a certian vitamen or nutrient.

Of course being a vegetarian is natural! Why the heck wouldn't it be? You're eating NATURAL foods, like fruit and, you guessed it, vegetables. Though I guess some people like Russianspy1234, said below, feel like people should eat both meat and vegetables, which is perfectly fine. Peoples' opinions on the subject vary from place to place and person to person. Though like he also said, vegetarians tend to be healthier than non vegetarians in the long run.
Hope this helps & if you need more help on the topic, inbox me whenever =D

well, i personally believe we were meant to eat both meat and vegetables. it is much easier to get all the nutrients you need that way. vegeterians are often unhealthy because it is difficult. however, those that are healthy, are typically much more healthy than meat eaters.

Of course! I am a vegetarian. The benefits are...

1. WAY smaller chance of heart disease.
2. Alot of weight loss of fat.
3. Healthier digestive system.

of course cons...

1. You need to find a way to get protien. Just buy alot of protien drinks or eat alot of beans with your meals.
2. Maybe need some vitamins

But as you can see, none of those con's are anywhere bad enough to cancel out the benefits! Good luck.
