They block it out because they think that just because the word is said that people might attempt it. Which, I believe, is crap becuase just because you hear the word doesn't mean you're going to go attempt it. It's censorship and it's bull****.

The FCC (people who control ratings fro music, TV, and movies) believes that hearing the word "suicide" will prompt people to commit it.

Some people think that hearing about suicide can influence people into actually commiting it. It sounds ridiculous, but that's how some people think. Taking the word out of every place it shows up is nuts, but what can you do but just deal with it?
