orphans answered Sunday August 26 2007, 10:04 pm: If you are focused on your life, death won't be on your mind. From what you said, you want to live on forever. You know that's not possible. However, you are able to live. Don't worry about your past or future. Concentrate on your present. Don't worry about your mistakes in the past and don't worry about dying in the future. The more you concentrate on now, you should be able to no worry about death. if you can't, talk to phycologist. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
Erinn_the_bamf answered Sunday August 26 2007, 7:07 pm: 1 John 1:9-10 (NRSV) "If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
Actions are not what counts in the Father's eyes. Repentance does. As long as you are sorry for your sins you will be excepted into the kingdom of Heaven.
Furthermore, Heaven has to exist. Why you might ask? Because energy can never be created, nor destroyed. Therefore, our energy as humans wouldn't be able to be destroyed after death. At least this is what I believe. [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]
Solaris answered Sunday August 26 2007, 11:42 am: Everyone thinks about death...its gunna happen. However to the afterlife part, I firmly believe there is an after life called Heaven and Hell. If you want to live forever all you have to do is accept Jesus Christ as your savior. Once you accept Him, your past, and future mistakes are forgiven and forgotten. Everyone is afraid to die, but that doesn't have to be the end of it. He's waiting for you. Have everlasting life with Him. Dont spend it in Hell. It is not a good place. Spend it in Heaven.
memoriesxforeverx answered Sunday August 26 2007, 11:30 am: dont worry, that does happen to some people. sometimes when you have time to think about that kind of stuff and have to face the facts that you cant live forever, and it is scary. But remember He (if you no what i mean) will always forgive your mistakes, and loves you. Try to have fun, try not to live your life being afraid of what is going to happen much later in the future. You are in good hands. and if you keep on thinking to much about really later in the future then later you might regret not doing some stuff that you wanted to do.
Just dont worry, and if it helps maybe pray at night.
hope i helped :] [ memoriesxforeverx's advice column | Ask memoriesxforeverx A Question ]
Catlovers141 answered Sunday August 26 2007, 9:21 am: I have had similar thoughts before, so maybe I can help you.
When I had this problem, I wasn't sure if there was an afterlife either, or if there was, what I believed about it. So I learned that the best way to go is to live life as if there is one, and just follow what you believe. This will make you feel safer. Just try to be a good person, but remember that everyone makes mistakes. So allow yourself to be forgiven.
I think that everyone has these thoughts at some part during thier lives, so don't worry that you are abnormal. Just try not to let it control your life. Concentrate on making your life something worth living. Do kind things for others, be courageous, be happy. That way, you will feel better about this issue because you will be living a fulfilled life.
Here is some more information that might help you. Remember that you aren't alone, everyone feels this way from time to time.
