Well this isn't really personal finance but it's about money. I need to make 600 dollars or close by next Friday so I can go see my fiance before he deploys to Iraq, and I don't know how to do this. Can you guys give me some ideas?
LoveNJstyle answered Wednesday August 22 2007, 5:08 pm: Where exactly are you flying to? i'm sure you could get a better deal than $600, even if its short notice. try an airport that's cheaper to land at and get a car rental...[ex, cincinnati, oh airport is more expensive than all the surrounding airports within the 45min area]
anyway, to get money you could try babysitting over night for a couple nights, borrow from parents/friends/roomates, get a check advancement if you have a job, promise to do a job when you come back and get the money up front, have a garage sale, sell something online, sell textbooks to college kids.. that's all i can think of. i hope you get to see him! <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

My boyfriend who just recently passed away was a Marine, and wanted me to fly down to NC so I could see him before he went to Iraq in Janaury. However, I couldn't do so because I'm poor.
Anyways, if it's at all possible, try & get a loan from a bank. If that doesn't work, maybe borrow it from your parents & then pay them back little by little. You can always try to get a credit card as well, but those take forever to be mailed to you. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
