Before my period comes on I get really really really bad cramps. I can't even go to school because it hurts so bad. Please tell me what I need to do because if this happens every month I'm going to be over in my school days. Thank YOU!

You can buy heat pads at any drug store and wear them during the day and it should help relieve the pain. I also take 2 liquid gel advils. Midol I heard also works, I have never tried it but the advil works wonders for me. Exercising also helps, situps and jogging, unless you have a heavy flow, if you do, resist any exercising because that will make it worse. And sometimes if the cramps do hurt and nothing is working you do have to take a day off from school. I have had to do that a couple times, other times you just have to be grumpy and in pain and deal with it. I have also had to do that.
Trauma answered Wednesday August 22 2007, 4:22 pm: If midol or any other pills like that don't help, maybe you should try birth control. I've heard it helps ease cramps. You'll need to talk to your doctor to be sure, though, since he/she will have to prescribe you birth control. [ Trauma's advice column | Ask Trauma A Question ]
