it's actually for metal heads.
if you go to a metal show, you'll see TONS of those.

but the scene kids are just so badass they decided to act the part. :]

It's just a pose. There's really nothing to it. It's not like there's anything wrong with her hand or anything (that I can see, anyway). It's just the way she's bending her fingers and everything.
