I really need to put videos I have taken on my digital camera onto DVDs, and I have no idea how to do it!!! Can anybody help me??
I have a Kodak Easy Share Digital Camera, and I use the Easy Share software to put the videos on my computer. I use Quicktime Player to view the videos, if this information is useful.
In Easy Share- Right click the video clips, go to "Send To" then click "My Documents". It will say it can't hold that type of file- click OK. Do this with each individual file clip until you have all sent to My Docs. Don't worry, it just sends a copy.
From My Documents- Drag each clip into your "My Videos" folder.
Convert to an AVI file. I downloaded a good program to do this. Here is the link: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
On the left click "The RAD Video Tools [1.2 MB]" to download.
Once done with that, open RAD (under Bink and Smacker file in "All Programs" under Start menu.)
Select to look in My videos, click on a Quicktime video. Don't hit PLAY... On the bottom there is a box that says "Convert a File"- click that.
Next, make click "Output Type" and ensure there is a check mark next to AVI.
On the right, click "Convert". I always select "Full Frames (Uncompressed)" in the next box that pops up.
Now, done with that. You now have it under My Videos as both a Quicktime and an AVI.
OK, now I open Windows Movie Maker- Select "Import Video" and do just that, drag the clips down to the time line, when done with that, "Save to DVD".
I'm sure there is an easier way to do this, but I'm fond of WMM where I can add titles, subtitles, background music, transitions, etc. I find it nice to add my own personal touch to that sort of stuff.
You can also add pictures, but you don't have to convert the format of pictures.
Sorry so long, and hope that was more helpful than confusing.

If you already have one in your computer, there should be a program installed to take you step by step to burn the DVD. If a DVD burner is not installed in your computer, you can always go to a computer store and they can install the burner for you. There are also external DVD burners you can buy, such as ones that can plug into your USB port, and switch between different computers if need be.
