Is there a way to stop a female who has started bleeding and is in heat?

you cant stop her from bleeding its like how women have there period. but the only way to stop it is ge her fixed. if you dont want her fix and you want her to breed. then leave her out side clean her butt when she bleeds. or get doggie diapers.

Not that I know of, Your supposed to let your dog I think have one heat before they get spayed, But you MUST make sure to watch her because of stray un-altered dogs running around may make her pragnet. If your worried about her staining things, You can go to the pat store and get doggy diapers, But I think most dogs find them un commfortable.

do not put water on her. it'll dampen her fur and create un-needed insulation.
get her in a-c if possible, make sure she's always got water nearby.
if you have any doubts get her to the vet.
try to limit her physical activity to laying down, eating, and being petted.
that's it.
