aw i'm sorry about this, first of all. that's happened to me, twice, and especially if you have a casio, this is VERY easy to be broken.
unfourtunately, there isn't really any way YOU can fix that. lens errors are very difficult, and have to be repaired.
however, it's honestly probably less expensive to just get a new one.. and that will reduce future problems, too.
what i did (because i did'nt have a warranty, and i don't think they cover mistakes the owners make, anyway) was take it to the store, and say it just ended up like that, without me dropping it. ahha, and they ended up saying they'd try to fix it or get me a new one.
i guess if you're persuasive enough, and talk to the right person, they'll try to repair it for you; and it's always a chance you can take to try that. :P
but i guess if you have the warranty, they'll repair it anyways? i'm not sure what the policy is on that..

If you use a memory stick with it, take it out but don't lose it so you still have your pictures with you if you have any on the camera at the moment. If you have warranty, talk to your parents and mail the camera back so that they can replace it. If you don't have warranty on it, sorry, but you might have to get a new one altogether.
Jeanne answered Saturday August 4 2007, 2:54 pm: I've dropped and broken about a million cameras. haha, well I guess only about 3 or 4! but yeah. I'm sorry to tell you... there's probably no way to fix it yourself. You can try sending it back to the company, but every time I've done that, it's taken several months to get back, and it cost almost as much as buying a new camera. Maybe you'll have better luck -- I hope so! -- but I'm just letting you know my experience so you can be prepared for the worst. [ Jeanne's advice column | Ask Jeanne A Question ]
