hey,
it's basically a really simple drinking game teenagers end up playing alot of the time, at parties.
you take a table, and place a few paper cups at the end, lined up, or a few rows. then, you bounce a ball, or specifically ping pong ball, and have it land in a cup. then you drink that beer.
then, i guess the winner is decided by whoever drinks the most. i'm not sure if it's a consumption kind of thing, or the skill with the ball; i'm assuming it's both.. but yea. :P

Beer pong is a college "sport" where there are cups of beer on each side of the ping pong table and if you get a ping pong ball in one of your cups- you have to drink it. I think the first one to puke or give up losses and the other person wins. Its ridiculous. There are variations as this link says:

there are different styles, but its when you have a ping pong table, and you have glasses/ cups of beer somewhere on teh table, both sides matching.
if you hit the oposing teams glass, they have to drink half of it. if you get the ball in the glass, they have to drink the whole thing.
when one sides beer is all gone, then the other side wins.
