salt water?? And breasts...

Question Posted Tuesday July 31 2007, 1:48 am

ok... i was in salt water for a while, and for a while i mean more than an hour. Well my breasts like really really hurt!! like almost to the point of me wanting to cry.It was mainly the nipple. Does the salt water have anything to do with it??
And one other question- i have these purple marks (like lines) on both of my breasts and i was wondering what they might be any ideas??
Thanx in advance!

this happens to me too. i know how much it hurts. its the salt that stays in your bikini and it keeps rubbing and rubbing and hurts. theres not much u can do about it though. it just sux. after your out the sea though, get a water bottle and pour it on your breasts. thats what i do and it helps a bit, otherwise it just keeps rubbing.
hope this helps xxx

Salt, as well as your bathing suit, are irritating the nipple from rubbing up against it, especially if you were in the water for a long time. It's normal, even though it does suck. And the purple marks are either stretch marks are visible veins. I would see a dermatologist about it. A home treatment to help stretch marks is cocoa butter, however. If they aren't extremely noticeable I would try that first and see if it helps.

Those purple lines are stretch marks, and I have no idea how to get rid of them/if they go away because I have that problem too.

And the hurtingness, well if you had cuts or sores on your breasts it would be that but if you did have cuts it'd be obvious and you wouldn't be asking.

Maybe you have a sort of sore or cut you don't know about??

Sorry can't help you much there :(
