I'm going to be taking guitar lessons soon, i'm really nervous that i'm going to be bad at it. is it hard to learn? and how long did it take you before you were pretty good at playing?
COLEvsWORLD answered Tuesday July 31 2007, 12:12 pm: ok if ur gunna do guitar lessons, you have to stick with it. at first you can get bored or angry, but seriously, DONT QUIT! its all worth while. and if your learning from scratch, you'll have to learn all the chords and names of everything and stupid "what shall we do with the drunken sailor" songs. but after that its really good. you cant really be bad at playing guitar? its pretty easy. and this is one of those practice makes perfect things, really. i took lessons to learn the basic stuff and chords, and now i self teach myself. im pretty good now but it depends on how much practice you do.

'Practice makes perfect'
So what if your not as good as other people, but it all takes practice. I dont play it but, the people i know that play.. said that it took a couple of years..but it takes a couple of years to get good at most things. Doesn't it?
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

Ive been playing for two years now and im not perfect but im still tring. At first i would get pissed when i didnt get something right but after i practiced it for awhile it really helped. Its not really hard to learn you just got to want to learn it.
Hope it helps!
ps. at first your fingers and your hands are going ot hurt like hell but its worth it to play for your friends.
