anger and jealousy problem...

I really need help on taming my short temper and jealousy streak. I have extremely bad road rage and I tend to blow up and freak out on people very easily over stupid things. I also want to be "the dominant female" so I get jealous when a pretty girl is around and I feel the need to be better than her.

Is there anything that can help me besides medication? I'm desperate.

I also have anger problems, and jealous streaks, but I've also changed a bunch too. Try keeping a journal, and realize your inner feelings, what really makes you mad, and what really makes you jealous. Mostly every girl wants to be the prettiest, but you really have to look past that, you have to realize taht you are beautiful in your own way because you are YOU! there is always going to be someone prettier, smarter, or even just plain better in alot of things than you, and you have to just step out of yourself and say so what! If you keep a journal, you will become alot deeper and that will make you alot more intouch withyourself which makes you happier about your self, because you know YOU. i hope this makes sense, and if your having a hard time with your anger problems, try seeing a counsler or phycologist because anger is built up of sadness, and things you keep bottled inside, and sometimes we need help to open that up.

I have an explosive anger too, and I get mad VERY easily. I don't have to be the dominant female, but I do get frustrated easily & end up wanting the girl to go away. I too, have road rage. I dislike driving because of it, and driving should be something fun especially because I'm 16, and I'm just learning.


I've tried a lot of things to control my anger, such as Anger Management in 8th grade. That didn't work for me, but it may work for you. Try it. In it, they give you techniques to control your anger.


If it doesn't work, try doing something positive & fun when you're mad. If you can feel yourself getting mad, or you know that you're going to, listen to music or take a nap. Maybe exercise or watch tv. Write if you have to. Do something that makes you happy. It's perfectly healthy to scream though, so don't hold back.


If those things don't work, try a stress ball. I'm using those now, and they seem to work pretty well. However, I get pissed whenever they get hard to squeeze. Just try something new from what it is you've been doing. Having a bad anger can make you tend to shy away from people & you won't be a people person. It's also a bad thing to have when looking for a job; especially one that deals with customers. Good luck finding something that works for you!

Yes there is. try this excersize. Imagine someone really ticking you off or doing something that would make you rather mad. Then hold that anger and dont do anything about it. But now that you have anger in you, you can''t jsut keep or you will explode. After the excersize you should go run or ride a bike. That way you put it towards something good. Then after a while just do it when you get mad. And for the jealousy problem. I like to be prefect at everything. When someone is better than me it makes me kind of sad, but then I realized it's better to realize that there will always be someone better now than when im an adult. I hope my advice works. =]
