retainer
so i got my braces off 2 weeks ago and got my retainers today.. ortho said to wear them for 24 hours a day but if i just wear them like 18 hrs/ a day would it be really bad... especially since they didnt move at all during the first two weeks after i got my braces off and had no retainers (my ortho said they hadn't oved a bit because my retainers fit perfectly not even a little tight)

when i got my braces off i was supposed to wear my retainer all day all the time but i didnt wear it to school or when i did things with my friends. only at home. when i went back to the ortho i told them i wore it (even though i didnt) and they were just like.. cool. then they said i only needed to wear it at night. so yeah, it should be fine! and like someone else said, if it feels like they're seperating or something just wear it a day or 2.

I think you would be fine. If they start feeling a little tight try to go a whole day or two with them in.
