I'm 15/f, going into 10th grade in high school, and a full Pre-IB student [I'm going to be a full IB student]
My friends that are rising Juniors have taken their PSAT in their sophomore year, but in the Princeton Review book for PSAT said that you are suppose to take it in your Junior year? & to win the National Merit, you have to take it in junior year. Do you take the PSAT in your sophomore year automatically or do you choose whether you want to take it in 10th or 11th grade? Can you take the PSAT twice [Once in 10th grade and once in 11th] Or do you take it just in Junior year & not take it in sophomore year? AHH! How does the PSAT/National Merit thing work?

If you may choose to do your PSAT in your sophmore year, you may do so and I beleive you're allowed to take it more than once.
You may also take your PSAT more than once. I'm not sure if there's a limit or not, though.
If you plan on graduating early, it is reccomended that you take your SAT if you want to get into college... Uhm.. yeah. Have fun with that.. [ sanderuhh's advice column | Ask sanderuhh A Question ]
