donating blood
I have never gave blood before but I want to start because you can get money for it. Does it hurt? And my one friend said you could rub like bengay on the spot all day before you donate and it wont hurt at all is that true?

im pretty sure you dont get money for giving blood. HOWEVER you can get money for donating plasma which is a part of your blood, but i think its a different process with different needles. yes they still draw your blood but they seperate the plasma from it but i think its something you have to be specific about. they wont just automatically take your plasma if you give blood.
giving blood doesnt really hurt. its basically just like a shot.. the needle will hurt a little going in but its not a scream ya know?

I don't suggest Bengay. On a scale of 1-10, I would say maybe a 5-6- but I have the worst tollerance of pain ever.
So normally, they will do it quickly.

I think it's great you want to donate blood! But don't only do it for money, do it to help save lives! =] It dosen't hurt that bad to have blood taken. I was really sick somewhat recently and had to have blood taken for the first time. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say it was about a 4.5-5.
