There's this guy at my church who's my age, let's call him "Mike" and I've had a little crush on him ever since I started going to this church, and it's been like 5 years now. And we're both 16. I know his grandmother and his mother, and I'm really close with them both, and they absolutely adore me. But me and Mike never really talked a lot until last year I had a bonfire at my house for the teens at our church. We talked a little, and we have little conversations every now and then. But I REALLY want to talk to him more, I just don't know how. And when we go back to the Teens Group during Service, I feel like he's always looking at me, and when I look over, I catch him. The thing is, he got a girlfriend a couple months ago, and she's 21! She's five years older than him! But idk what to do. Should I just let it go? My mom knows Mike, and she said that she always had a feeling that we would end up getting married or something. And we would look so perfect together. We both have brown eyes, and hair, same complexion, everything.
But what should I do? I find myself always thinking about him, and the other night I had a dream that we started dating, and I woke up with the BEST feeling in the world. Any advice on what I should do? And how I should strike up more conversations with him.
Thank you so much!
Well, ehre is a problem, he has a girl friend(Who, to me, is way to old for him...anyway). But even if he has a girl friend, doesn't mean you two can't get close!
Is he a guy that loves/likes sports? Talk to him about that, ask him what his favorite team is, talk about stuff like that.
Ask him what movies he has seen in the past couple weeks, if you have seen the ones he has, talk about them! And maybe tell him about a movie that you've seen, but he hasn't. If it is good, tell him and maybe say 'Hey, if you want, I'll go see it with you!(And this line, the one I'm about to type, only works if it is a good movie, or if you think it is) It such a good movie that I'll sit through it again' Or something like that.
If you two are close to each other and he and maybe a couple of people are having a convo about something, speak up! Say what you think!
Really, just start talking about something, and if everything is good, then everything will just start flowing really well.

Start with small talk and work your way up to a relationship. [ ralili's advice column | Ask ralili A Question ]
