I want to loose weight

Question Posted Saturday July 21 2007, 10:21 pm

I wanna loose weight, but I don't do many active things. Does meditation and yoga help loose weight? I'm a 13/f and I weight 119. I wanna loose 20 pounds. Yea, i know that's a lot of pounds to loose. I skip breakfast(I don't believe in eating breakfast), I stretch every day, I'm cutting down on the calories I eat. Is there anything I can do to loose weight in a spiritual type way? I'm kinda spiritual so... Plz help, any advice will do!

hey

that's an easy goal. how tall are you? if you're 5 foot, then 100 lbs is ideal. 5 pounds for every one inch. so, if you're 5'1" = 105, 5'2" = 110. match it up.

breakfast is the most important meal of the day. it isn't wise to skip breakfast whether or not you want to lose weight. most people think breakfast is a waste of food & unnecessarily makes you fat because most people aren't hungry in the morning. by eating a light breakfast of 8 oz water & maybe an orange with cereal, your appetite is slightly curbed for the rest of the day, causing you to eat less throughout the day. also, it jump starts your metabolism, causing you to burn more calories throughout the day. have i made my point?

yoga helps loose weight. meditation is good for the mindset for losing weight. yoga is all about SWEAT and moving muscles that you didn't even know existed. someone i know does yoga, and they love it. gradually, the entire room gets heated up to around 100ºF (pretty steamy) so you move all your muscles more easily and sweat a lot. meditation is more about concentration. if you BELIEVE you are skinny, you will become skinny. people who constantly bring themselves down, telling themselves that they are fat are less successful at losing weight than people who truly believe in themselves.

join a yoga & meditation class.

hey, you only weigh 119 pounds. im sure you dont have to loose 20 pounds. matter of fact, that would probably be unhealthy. at 5`0 your perfect weight is 100 pounds. everytime you go up in height, you add 5 pounds. so like 5`1 would be 105 and 5`2 would be 110. my doctor told me this last physical. compare yourself to it and see if you need to loose weight.
