alright so me and this guy that likes me and i like him have been talking for awhile online. we have great conversation online..but tomorrow we are hanging out for the first time.
so i guess my question is..how do you make it so it isnt awcward when you hang out with your crush alone for the first time? and dont say hang out with a big group..because its gonna be just us (:
volleyballgamer answered Tuesday July 17 2007, 4:19 am: Well, you could think up a lot of questions to ask and see if you guys have anything in common? that normally works. so then it wont be akward. but don't ask all your question's right away and relax, don't get to nervous. then he can have some time to ask questions. and once you get to know him more, i promise things wont get so akward. also talking to him online is good to because you could also think of things you say online and talk about them in person. just get to know eachother and relax. hope it goes smoothly, good luck. :] [ volleyballgamer's advice column | Ask volleyballgamer A Question ]

Cux answered Monday July 16 2007, 7:56 pm: Try to always be in conversation. If there are silences, they will be awkward...
Talk about random things- honestly- it won't matter.. as long as it isn't a disgusting or completely inappropriate. Talk about your day yesterday. Talk about any pets you have. Talk about what you've done this summer. Talk about what you will do the rest of the summer. Talk about anything that will just keep you two engaged in conversation.
Other than that, just be yourself and be straightforward with your chat. Don't lie or make up stories. If you are honest- he will be too. If you think that things are getting boring- act like you're having fun- and it will rub off on him.. then off on you, in return. You could also laugh if something is really dumb or whatever.
Ashumms answered Monday July 16 2007, 7:51 pm: You should do something that you can focus on if there is an awkward silence, like a board game, mini golf, bowling, watching a movie, etc. That way if you can't think of something to say you can make a joke about someone's outfit(in a movie) or how he keeps losing all his money(in a board game). Playing mad gabs is a really cool way to spend time with your crush because you'll be laughing at each other the entire time. Doing something fun where you can laugh at yourselves together calms your nerves and relaxes you so you're more apt to have fun together. He'll remember that he can let loose and laugh with you and he'll want to do it again. Hope this helps. [ Ashumms's advice column | Ask Ashumms A Question ]
