is it normal for people to get nervous and come up with excuses not to go out with a person before they do? Or do you think that all of the jitters and thoughts against that person are kind of a sign not to go out with them?
Do you believe in just giving people a chance? Even if they mean a lot to you and you're afraid to lose them?

I dont think that its a sign, its just nervousness taking over :) I believe in giving people a chance, especially if they mean alot to you...you dont want to do anything to push them away...just try and relax once your with them you'll forget that you were ever nervous! I don't think that means you shouldn't go out with them; honestly, it's up to you; follow your first instinct.
I believe in giving people a chance, most definitely. Eve if they mean a lot to you & you don't want to lose them.

It's your own personal feelings that count, so if you feel that the jitters are telling you not to go out with them, don't. Just understand that it isn't always the case. Sometimes the jitters can be a good thing, telling you you like him and you're just nervous you'll mess things up. You should take a chance though. Maybe the jitters are telling you you should try dating them. You should always give someone a chance. If you always say no & just stay safe about it, you'll be missing out on a lot of good relationships. Don't always believe you're going to lose someone once you're in a relationship with them. Yes it does happen, but only to couples that don't work through their problems & don't communicate. You can have a successful relationship with anyone you want to have one with as long as you both try & care about each other. It's always a much better idea to date one of your friends if you want it to last.
