First of all, if you are able to go to their concert, YOUR SO LUCKY! Second of all, Adam uses the F word only three times. See for your self!

From experience, singers skip the F word. They might say other swear words if there in the songs, but the skip the F Word...if you watch their video Makes Me Wonder, they skip it so he'll do that. Tell your mom it's a safe concert!

If they lip sync usally not. If they are on T.V or are being broadcasted no. But if they actally sing they sometimes do.
When i went to a concert of theres they didn't swear.

ZAA! Random wordness. I so want to see them, too.
Anyways...
Yes artists do usually use the f word at concerts.
I just went to Gwen Stefani & Akon's Sweet Escape tour, and they used some swear words during and between the performances.
So they'll most likely be using it.
Anyways, I'd tell your mom that this dosen't make them a bad band. They really are good, and won't have like crazy moshing or anything.
Explain to her that just because this band swears, dosen't mean that you'll pick up the habit. And not many of their other songs use a lot of swear words. Just occasionally. I hope you mom lets you go, I'm sure it'd be amazing =]

First off, I'm super jealous. I love Maroon 5.. and you're so lucky to have the chance to go!

Anyway.. I just went to an MCR [My Chemical Romance] concert in Feb. and no, they didn't censor their lyrics; granted, they have MUCH more usage of the f-word, and other swear words as well. They did swear a lot in between songs, and it kind of got on my nerves, actually. I really like the band, but it didn't help much that they seemed like trash, for lack of a better word.
I am going to assume that Maroon 5 will do the same, as in they won't censor the concert, and they will probably swear a bit betwixt [in between.. just a fancy word I've been dying to use!] songs, and like lauraxomichelle said, they strike me as a "classy" and more reserved band than Green Day and MCR, for that matter.

As for your mom, just tell her that you are not a child anymore, and that hearing the word from Maroon 5 won't make you want to say it anymore than hearing it from someone else who isn't famous. Tell her that maybe you'll cover your ears or let it "go in one ear and out the other", if you wish, but don't tell her that unless you're actually going to do that. Lying isn't the best thing to do with your parents. They'll catch you one way or another.

Hope your mom lets you go to the concert! Again, I'm really jealous!

yes, they will probably say stuff like that. whenever my mom tells me stuff like, "oh, you shouldn't listen to this music or watch this tv show because it has bad words in it" i remind her that she sends me to a ghetto public school every day of my life, where i could get raped in the hallway... and it's not like i've never heard any of that before. and you could probably have the same argument. so keep arguing with her! also, ask your friends what they think about it, and tell them to ask their parents if they would let their kids go to the concert. if you get a big group together and say, "mom, all of my friends are going, and i really want to go" she might say yes. my mom is like that. so keep trying! i hope you get to go :)

Yeah. They might swear in between songs, but Maroon5 strikes me as a "classier" band than, say, Green Day. And I don't mean that as an insult to either band, for the record. I love them both. A band's not gonna censor a concert, no way. Explain to your mom that you're not three years old, that you hear these things anyway, and it's not every word in the song. Play a few songs from their old album; that should convince her that they're a decent band for you to see live :D

hope you get to go... you're lucky to have the chance!

Yes.

Artists don't like for their lyrics to be censored (and I don't like for them to be, either) so you can count on all those f-words to be in place.
