I would say in most cases around 16 just because when I was younger I thought all these piercings were sweet and make you look cool and everyone else will think so.. but know I know you really have to fit that piercing and not everyone can look good with a certain piercing
and its permanent
ask your parents.. if they think it would look cute and they let you then they think you are ready for it
but if they say no know.. then they don't think you are responsible enough yet
and until you are 18 whatever they say goes
because why would you trust your 12 year old best friends boyfriends friend to do it

-It can be a scary experience because your nose is always pierced with a needle. They don't use ear guns like they do on your ears. So it may or may not be scary to you. Some people don't like long needles, and some people have no problem with it.
-Apparently when you get your nose pierced, it hits some kind of nerve. (I didn't know this until I got it pierced.) This makes you feel dizzy, sick to your stomach, etc. You could also lose your hearing for a few minutes, but it comes back. This is also a sort of, "shock effect" on your body. Piercers advise you to drink a sugary drink after, like a Snapple, and you'll feel better. But please DON'T let me scare you with all these things. You may feel the side effects, but I do know people that didn't feel side effects at all. It is really not bad at all, and it's not dangerous. It's worth it.
Hope I helped.
I got my nose pierced when I was 13. It really depends on what kind of person you are. Getting your nose pierced is a scary experience. Many 13 and 14 year olds think that they will be able to handle it, they think it will be fine. But trust me, once you sit down in the piercing chair, you may change your mind. So truthfully, it is a very scary experience at first, and there are some slight physical side effects of getting your nose pierced. But once the piercing part is over, it's great, as long as you can take care of it. If a 13 or 14 year old plans on getting their nose pierced, they should be responsible enough to clean it twice a day, because it CAN get seriously infected if not treated properly in the first 3 healing months. After that, it is fine. So does age really matter? Not so much. Responsibility and maturity level? Yes, definitely. [ twistedsister17's advice column | Ask twistedsister17 A Question ]

I have over 20 piercings, and personally I don't think kids should get piercings until they are at least 15. Which kinda makes me feel hypocritical since I started getting mine around 13.
