1:learn HTML
2:learn CSS
3:learn javascript
4:find a webhost
-byethost.com
-zendurl.com
-theymos.com(I plan on having fully-fledged hosting in about 3 weeks)
6:get a domain(you.com), this is optional
-domainmonger.com
-cheap-domainnames.com
7:create content on your site that everyone will be interested in
8:advertise your site a bit, to all your friends and on other websites

Try www.freewebs.com. You can make really interesting sites there. Or, www.xanga.com. However, it's not necessarily your "own" site

Try maxpages.com it pretty much walks you through making one for free and everything theres just a few pop ups once in a while

i dont know how well this is going to work out. but you i jut google make a free website and this is one of the things that came up. you can always invest money into a website but if your not willing to do that just yet, this is a suggestion =)
