How long does it take to lose 3,500 calories, or 1 pound, by running?

the person who said 20-25 minutes is way, way wrong.

If you are talking about a pound in fat, then it will take a ridiculous amount of time. i believe running a mile(on land) burns around 500 calories. So you would have to run 7 miles to burn about 3,500 calories.

By treadmill, it should take even longer, you would probably have to run about twice as much on a treadmill to burn the same amount of calories.

If you are talking about a pound in water weight, you can do it in 15 minutes just by running while wearing a lot of thick, heavy clothing.

it depends upon the speed of running but on average 20-35 minutes
