Hey,
I am Canadian and I might want to go to university in America. I was wondering if I still have to take the SATs?
Thanks

Sabine answered Sunday July 1 2007, 12:34 am: The SATs are required for most of the better schools. Some schools require either SATs or the ACT. Some schools will accept a test called the PSAT. There are some schools, like community colleges, which don't require any sort of standardized testing. I went to the University of Colorado at Boulder, which is a state school, and I never took the SATs, though I did get a pretty good score on the ACTs. Even if the SAT is not required, it doesn't hurt to submit scores for it, especially if you did well. It can only help to prove that you are college material.
