everyone tells me that if a guy really liked me he'd ask me out, but isn't it possible that a guy could really like you and not ask you out because he's either afraid of rejection or getting hurt again?
simplicityx answered Thursday June 28 2007, 5:09 pm: Totally true. Guys are sometimes like girls in the sense that we all fear rejection (for the most part). If the guy really likes you, but doesn't ask you out it's out of fear of rejection and getting emotionally hurt. That's why some people say, if you think a guy likes you you should go up to him and ask him if he likes you and all. The worst they can do is say no. But fear of rejection comes into play. The guy that likes you and doesn't ask you out is the type of guy who's very shy and timid not outrageously outgoing. Get what I mean?
Roxeh101 answered Thursday June 28 2007, 5:04 pm: You are absolutely right. Some guys are just shy, or afraid to ask you. Not every guy has the courage to ask out a girl. [ Roxeh101's advice column | Ask Roxeh101 A Question ]
2tammy2 answered Thursday June 28 2007, 4:56 pm: you are totally right, if a guy appears to like you and dosent ask you out, it could be religous reasons(he isnt allowed to), he just broke up, and unlike the normal beliefs men are extremely fragile when it comes to their feelings so hes probably just afraid, so go ahead and ask him out [ 2tammy2's advice column | Ask 2tammy2 A Question ]
Cux answered Thursday June 28 2007, 4:55 pm: Yes, that's very possible. In fact, that's why I've been reserved from asking anyone out for my teenage years so far. I'm afraid of being rejected sometimes, and also very realistic that I could and will get hurt again. Every guy feels this way, whether they admit it or not. Some are just more able to conquer fears and ask a girl out. My advice: don't wait for anyone to love you. Find someone else.
