Our highschool coach likes a person with tons of stamina and can sprint for 30 seconds or so then stop and jog and barley be gasping. As i am going into my sophomore year and going to be starting varsity midfielder i run cross country before soccer season and they make u run 3-10 miles a day and that is really great because then youre prepped and ready. But if you dont want to do that and your in decent shap i'd run 3 miles for 5 days
then take the weekend off
then 4 miles the next 5 days
then take that weekend off
then the next week run 3 miles for 2 days. 4 miles for 2 days. then 5 miles the last day.
and just mix it up.
but if u want a constant excersice to be the same daily. just run 3 miles and do some sprints or something like that. [ soccerstar26's advice column | Ask soccerstar26 A Question ]
DannyRoss answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 11:50 pm: My soccer team makes me run five miles in like unlimited time (but you know, that means no longer than an hour or anything).
My gf's soccer team makes them run 2 miles in 14 minutes.
So, that means, you want to run about 1 mile every day for a week (if that's too hard, run 1/2 mile and walk 1/4 mile, then run 1/2 mile, walk 1/4 mile). Then, you want to pick it up gradually by 1/2 mile each week until you get up to like 5. if you ever have trouble, alternate between walking and running. orphans answered Wednesday June 27 2007, 10:30 pm: id run like 3. or aroundt hat
that would get you in shape, because thats running for about half an hour a day
buy the end of the summer, you should be able to run 4.5 miles in a half hour
so dont think of it as miles, think of it as timing [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

I would say do a lot of crunches each day and run about a mile every 1-2 days. Try to stay away from soda/junk food around the days of your practices or games. Just get yourself in shape and used to running and you will be fine! :] [ L0V3_AlL_TH3_WAY's advice column | Ask L0V3_AlL_TH3_WAY A Question ]
