Cousins wedding

Question Posted Wednesday June 27 2007, 6:05 pm

What do you wear to a wedding?
I don't think I have "nice clothes". I don't have a dress either.

I want to dress up nice for the occasion but I'm poor.

Help?

A cute shirt and skirt are perfectly fine. A dress you have from a previous occasion is also fine. If you have nothing and can't find anything priced right to buy, try talking to a few friends and see if they have any clothes you can borrow.
Good luck. But remember people aren't really going to be remembering the clothes you wore, but the fun you had.

When going to a wedding, try something simple and cute. A top and a skirt works, or even a simple dress. Chances are people aren't going to even remember your wardrobe choice so go easy on it. Plain colors always work well like white or peach or some innocent color. Don't wear black. I'm pretty sure you'll be the only at the wedding wearing black if you do, and it'll draw a lot of attention to yourself. You can always go to papaya or something like that and get some simple clothes, and it might only add up to $20. Or go to a friend's closet and ask to borrow some clothes of hers and match it up with any of your clothes.

Ask friends if they have a nice, but not too formal, dress you could borrow.
Or if you don't want to wear a dress, you can wear dress pants and a nice shirt.
Borrow from friends/family if you can't buy a new outfit for the occasion.
There's nothing wrong with it :]

Dress pants and a nice shirt would do.
Anything that isnt jean material.
No tennis shoes, or sneakers.
Shirts no tshirts of course.
