okay make sure your hair is straight, then curl your hair with TIGHT curls anywhere you want. then gently straighten on time over the curls and then flip your hair over and blow dry and then flip your hair back over and you will have perfect waves =]
top it off with a glosser like shine shock by john frieda.

Hey, well my friend does the following; it might not work cause your hair types are probably differnent.
1) She curls her hair with a tight curling iron.
2) She lightly straightens over the curls.
Its that simple. I hope it works on you.

to do my hair like that you use a curler with iron twirled around it.
the one i use is made by Mary Kate & Ashley (link below)
its pretty inexpensive and so are other ones that are similar
then you shake the curls out or brush them out and they turn into the PERFECT waves
