all day work out

Question Posted Tuesday June 26 2007, 5:05 am

NO PREACHING PLEASE! I'm not going to do this,, im just wondering.

If you would do nothing but jump rope, dance, and push-ups non stop for two whole days, what would happen? like I odnt care if its impossible for ´humans or whatever, Im just wondering.. all these people who are trying to lose weight but cant or give up because they dont get results quick enough.. if they would do nothing but work out for maybe 2 days or 4 or something like that (keep in mind how freaking long a day is!) would they see results? Or doesn't it matter that they're working so much cause you have to work over a long period of time?

Please don't answer unless you KNOW, I don't want guesses.

An overload of the system would occur, the body would run out of it's fast digesting energy source (glycogen) and begin to burn it's muscular protein tissue for energy (Counteracting everything you're trying to accomplish). You'd be left with a tired body and mind, more disappointment and a sense of "Why the hell did I waste my time thinking that would actually work?"

The body is only made for about an hour or two of working out every day...at the MOST. That's the absolute limit. After that, your muscles become overworked and no progress is made.

That's why people say not to do crunches every day, but every other day. So you don't overwork your muscles and you get optimal results.

You just can't get a great body by constantly working out. It takes time. And after it's all done, it's not easy to reverse the results. For example, if you go on a crash diet and lose 10 pounds in one week, you can eat normally for a couple of days and it can all pack itself back on in no time. BUT, if you lose 2-3 pounds a week for a few weeks, it's harder to put it back on. The results are longer lasting.

The perfect body for YOU takes time. Working out constantly won't accomplish a thing.

You'll collapse, and be to weak after a couple of hours, but hypothetically if you got excess fat, and continues still nothing bad would happen health wise. As far as results even if you did the opposite - to try and get fatter by eating all day long you wouldn't see results of getting fatter until a couple of weeks. The results from works outs are just miniscule in each day from day. In a 24 hour session I estimate you'd shed about 1/16 of an inch of body fat of all the fatty masses. Also note that that's subjected to if your body's metabolism isn't used to burning calories. You may even see less results or a ttiny bit more results, and this is why work out are so important. An athletic person would probably lose about a 1/4 of a inch of fat in such a work out.

Even if you were to shed some pounds, it is unhealthy to lose so much weight all at once. It's best to lose a bit at a time.
