If the world would be more openminded and more
apologetic then we would finally have peace for once?

I do think that if people were more open about things and less narrow-minded that the world would most defently be a better place. Without a doubt, it would be.
There would be less crimes overrall, less hate, less unecessary violence, less anger.

But nonetheless, you can't change the mind of every person in the world in one day. A lot of people can't help the way they think. Think about it. Gays say they didn't CHOOSE to be gay. You don't get to CHOOSE your skin color/gender either. At the same time, some people can't CHOOSE to be homophobic, racist, sexist, etc. It goes both ways, honestly. People are ignorant, needy, selfish, and hateful. We have wars. Apologies can mean the world to one person, but not necessarily all. Apologies can only go so far.. I don't think the world will ever reach world peace, however. I love saying "anythings possible" but world peace? Seems highly impossible with the way everything is. Meh..

I do believe it would help a lot, but there would not be peace. It is human nature to be defensive. That is why we have wars.

Also the cultural differences in the world cause people to be less understanding. Though the world would be better if we were openminded to it, there still would not be peace. Culture is what teaches people to act a certain way. You cannot change every country's background.

And unfortunately, apologies only really go so far.

Oo, I like this question. :]

I think that if people were more openminded and less ignorant, the world would be a better place. There would be less problems in the world, I think, and definitely less hate crimes. If people were more sensitive and open to things that aren't familiar to them, I believe it would make the world a better place.

HOWEVER, I don't think that peace would be reached. Peace, in my opinion, is an impossible feat. I don't believe the world will ever find peace.

One reason I think that way, the main reason, is that no matter how hard people try, the world will never be completely openminded. There's no way of changing everyone's mind about anything. Everyone thinks in their own way and it'll always be that way.

So I guess it would be a little yes and a big no for me on this question.

hmm...good question. i DEFINITELY think it would help a lot, but i'm not sure if it would be peace. say that EVERYONE said sorry to anything they had EVER done. Do you think that majority of the people in the jails will stop killing? or stop dui? or stop doing drugs? All of that affects everyone else. Also, say they did say they were sorry. For example, say someone killed someone's daughter. The killer apologized. Does he mean it? Is he going to do it again? And will the parent forgive him? There is way too much hate in this world, people just need to stop for good. Being openminded and apologetic can DEFINITELY influence everything and change a lot, but i honestly don't think we would have peace. i hope this helped
