It's normal that your calves are feeling it, from the way your stance is while you do the squats. Squats always work out your butt, thighs and calves so it's normal, and don't get discouraged. You'll probably start to feel it in your butt and thighs soon so don't get discouraged. You'll see results in your thighs and butt and even in your calves in no time!

Make sure you are goind down far enough, but not far enough to be resting on your haunches. Another great but exercise is to do leg lifts, with ankle weights. On your hands and knees. Lift right leg up, toes pointed and try to touch the ceiling. Do 10 reps. X 3, and of course repeat for the other leg.

It's normal for your calves to hurt while doing squats. If you want to tone your butt, try squeezing your butt cheeks together. It sounds werid but it really works. So when your watching tv, or not doing anything try doing the squeezes as much as you can! It makes a huge difference! :) Good luck!
