i know i probably have this in the wrong catagory, but if you shave...down there, and then go in for a physical, and the doctor checks there, are they going to say anything? i dont have it fully shaved, just a little bit. and what if my mother insists on coming in, because of course theres no such thing as privacy. i dont want to play 20 questions and have the sex talk with my mother and doctor. akwardd.

You have to remember that they've seen it all! And you don't have to worry, a doctor isn't going to say anything because if you're a female (which I think you are), then the doctor will actually encourage you to shave "down there". Not completely bald but just enough because the hair actually allows more heat to settle in as well as sweat and bacteria and odor. So, they encourage you to maintain your lawn as much as you can. Your mom won't be in the room during a physical. That is usually something that is done with just you and that is between you and your doctor. You'll be fine!!! As for your mom, I believe it is your choice if she stays in the room with you during your physical. So, just ask that she stays out. Say that you're embarrassed or something.
