My best friend and I are going on a secret road trip this week. I am calling in sick to summer school and telling my parents I'm just hanging out at my friends house after school. I'm going to pick up my best friend and we're going to drive from San Diego to LA and we are going to do random stuff. I know it's not much of a road trip since it's 3 hours away but we have a lot of fun ideas. The point of this trip is just to get away from it all...and for one day, no one will know where we truly are. It's like an escape.
So...
please give me advice about making this foll-proof
AND
if you have any ideas of what fun random things we should do on our adventure, TELL ME!
thanks!
And Ive never been to LA, unfortunatly either.so no advice there but I really just wanted to say have a KICKKKKKASSSTIMEE!!!! and make sure not to worry too much about getting caught, because that will defently stop you from enjoying the ride/ having fun!

The trip is 3 hours away but leave an hour and half earlier just in case you run into some trouble (unexpected traffic, accidents that block the highways, etc.). And if you get back before the time you told your parents, just go chill out at a park or get something to eat and just relax.
Try to obey road laws on the way. You don't want to get a speeding ticket on your way there so your parents find out.
Also, if you don't want to tell an adult you're going at least tell a mutual friend. That way, if God forbid, something happens, someone will know where you are. Also, this friend can help cover for you if your parents do end up calling for whatever reason. Or maybe a sibling that you can trust?

uber_awesome answered Monday June 25 2007, 12:09 am: yes the adult thing is key
but also add this- GET HOME AT EXACTLY OR EARLIER THAN THE TIME YOU TOLD YOUR PARENTS!!
otherwise your parents might be getting a call and your friends parents might be getting a call...and that causes problems for both of you!
fun things to do in L.A.-*i don't live there but i go there every year and spend a couple weeks with my aunt who lives in venice beach*
-venice beach
-santa monica pier
-the grove *great place to catch famous people- saw paris hilton there last time*

Moop answered Sunday June 24 2007, 11:42 pm: the number one essential thing you need to make this trip perfect is an adult in each city who knows what's going on. non-parent if you're absolutely set on keeping it secret. this way if anything goes wrong you can call your back-up adults to bail you out.
