ok im one of those people who like to leave their away messages up while they're doing things and after awhile my laptop will just sign me off. theres no alarm or anything it just like automaticcally goes on standby and all my messages get earased. how can i fix this? (i have a compaq laptop by the way)
and press ok. Change the power scheme "home/office desk" and press ok. Note that this power management is set the way it was save your laptop batteries, if you change it, your laptop could completely run out of power. Good luck! [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
xomegaroni answered Sunday June 24 2007, 6:04 pm: I really dislike that. Mine does that too. I would suggest right clicking on your main desktop & clicking Properties. Next go to the Screen Saver tab & then 'Wait ___ Minutes'. Change the number to whatever you want. For example, if you're usually not gone for longer than 30 minutes, put 30 minutes in. If your computer screen goes to the Welcome screen, there's a box next to it to uncheck so it doesn't do that. If it keeps up, here's a site-
