ok so last year i gave this guy head (bad i know and i regret it) but anyways the next day i got a really bad sore throat. is this normal or could it be an std? i'm really worried about it and i was also wondering since i am 18 if i can get tested and treated confidentially without my parents knowing. thanks.

The sore throat could have been a coincidence or just because of having the guys penis in your mouth.
STDs are usually passed through having sexual intercourse and generally infection/disease isn't passed through oral sex.
If you want to get tested though it would be confidential if you go to a clinic..x

It's probably Herpes, you can get it in your throat and there is no treatment yet. Meaning, you'll have that for the rest of your life until there's a cure :( I know, it stinks. Since you're 18, you can do it without your parents knowing but they'll probably find out, you may want to tell them. But you'd think you would've gotten the STD before then. It may just be a regular soar throat. Watch the movie Girl Posi+ive, it's on Lifetime June 25th. It's about a girl who gets an STD for having sex, it looks really good. It's on Lifetime, I think it's at 9. Or 8 or something.
