Try to stay off of your feet & try to relax. Running around and being a busybody will do you no good and it'll only get you worse. So stay in bed & try to get some rest.
Drink lots of fluids & make sure you avoid public places. Don't completely down your life of going out & having fun, but try not to go out as much. Drink orange juice, water & apple juice. Maybe even some green tea.
If it helps, maybe try cough medicine or a cold medicine. You may have to buy it, but it'll help. Also, try to dress warm. I'm not sure where you are, but New York has been fairly cold the past couple of days, so I've been back to hoodies, jeans & uggs. Try to keep your head warm too by wearing a hood. You lose most of your body heat from your head. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

Keep your feet and hands extra warm at all times.
I'm guessing you're in a cold place, because it's boiling here!
The less contact you have with public places (such as a public bathroom), the less chance you have of actually getting a cold. [ ebilgir_'s advice column | Ask ebilgir_ A Question ]
