Good plan? :)

Question Posted Friday June 22 2007, 10:23 pm

Okay, so I asked a question revolving around this, earlier, but I don't think I explained it very clearly, or may not have provided enough information.
I'm warning you, this will be long; but I'll rate high to anyone who will sit and read, and help me out, with a straight-forward answer.
So, I'm trying to lose weight this summer. Not even specifically that, more revolving around the fact that I want to look more thin. My first question would be, if I work out, will I look more muscular, or look more toned?

Here is my eating plan:
Eat three meals a day,
Healthy snacks (grain cereals, fruits and veggies-anyone wanna list more?) any time I want, when I'm actually hungry.
Fatty snacks require extra workout, ect-certain amount of curlups for each snack, ect.

Workouts will consist of:
Running on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for cheering,
Cheerleading practice five days a week, starting in August,
Curlups for snacks
Curlups just, generally every night
Swimming, basically every day. At least 20 minutes at a time.

So, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how well those combinations will work out, and possibly how much weight I'd be able to lose in maybe a month, or over my whole summer break?

Btw, I weigh about 100 pounds, am 14 years old, and am at about five feet tall.

Thanks for any help!

That sounds like a pretty good plan. Instead of eating three meals a day though, you might want to eat five or six small meals a day. It is better for your metabolizism. Also, if you are a choco-holic like me, whenever you diet you CRAVE chocolate. Every once in a while, i eat a banana and dip it in hersheys syrup. The syrup is not NEAR as bad as actual chocolate.
Also, when you are dieting just watch proportions. For me, i LOVE chocolate ice cream. so, instead of my usual eat-till-you-want-to-stop, i just eat one scoop of it. See what i mean? Well i hope i helped, and if you need anything just leave a question in my inbox!!

That sounds like a perfect plan. you'll build some muscle yes, but def. will look toned. Don't be frightened at first. You might gain more weight to begin with then it will shedd right off.
Probably you'll see a five pound difference in a month and so on.

that sounds really good, and because you have a plan all ready, you'll probably get to where you want to be. the only thing you might want to change is eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. you'll have more energy for excersizing and whatever else you want to do.
good luck (:
