ok I shaved some of my pubic hair [i'm a girl and 13] once with a razor just to see what it would be like, and i THINK i used either shaving cream or soap but it was probably soap. it's so thick and coarse! like if a shave a patch off you can see the hair under my skin so thick and about to grow in, and when its all shaved down there it looks like little black lines under my skin. If you have continued to read this w/o getting grossed out, you are a special person I can tell you that. What is a way I can shave where it will be nice and smooth down there?

also after about a few months of waxing, your hair will grow in thinner and lighter, the opposite of shaving
now if you shave, itll just keep growing in darker and thicker... but if you want to do that then use a "sensitive skin" shaving cream and a new razor (whether is disposable or not... just make sure its new)
seriously though i soooo suggest waxing if you need help/advice on that just askkk! its GREAT [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
orphans answered Friday June 22 2007, 8:03 pm: what works for me (yes i shave mine too) is shaving upwards and against the grain. it cuts the hair lower and closer to the skin. then take a shower right after. then apply some lotion to it, and it'll be fine for about 5-7 days before you have to shave again. Your best bet is to use Skintimate Shaving Cream. You should go with unscented incase you have an allergic reaction, make sure you REALLY lather up down there and shave carefully and slowly.
I've tried soap -- it's terrible... I know. It leaves your skin feeling dry, itchy, and just plain dirty. And it doesn't shave all the hair. The shaving cream really does help!
Ashumms answered Friday June 22 2007, 7:39 pm: What you're seeing is the roots of the hair. Since pubic hair is thicker, the roots are easier to see when you shave them than when you shave your legs or underarms. It is even easier to see them if you have really pale skin.
To get bikini ready without the little black dots, try using a dipilatory. They make them especially for bikini zones so they're extra gentle. Just make sure you read the directions so you don't get a rash down there.
Or if you would rather not deal with the mess of a dipilatory, try a bikini wax. You can go to a professional (but you may have to have parental permission since you're under sixteen) or you can buy them in prepared strips.
